We should not be crying out for a complete ban of handguns and/or automatic weapons, but at the same time it is irresponsible to do nothing. America should increase screening, and implement a rudimentary mental health exam to the purchasing process. This may not be the best answer, but it might be a compromise that works, and help begin a process to decrease gun crime in the United States.
