Two men, Ma'lik Richmond and Trent Mays, thought it was okay to rape a girl at a party. Not only did they rape her, but not a single person at that party did anything to stop them. Pictures were taken and videos were recorded of a young woman who was passed out getting raped.
With VAWA having been passed, it's imperative that the government add to the bill and give harsher punishment and sentences to those who commit crimes such as rape. It's time to make society safe for all of those living in it, whether they be male or female. It's time to stop promoting rape culture by letting perpetrators get off easy for their injustices.
