In order to get into space faster, NASA should have more funds, since research isn't cheap, or free. More progress could be made toward colonizing Mars, or the Moon, and since our race continues to expand, and we won't all be able to fit onto Earth at some point in the future, it would be wise to get into space as soon as possible.
