I am requesting the court and all officials to increase the statue of limitations on medical malpractice in Louisiana. The laws here are you are to file suit within one year of the alleged act or neglect. In no event may such claims be filed more than 3 years from the date of alleged act or neglect. Problem is most doctors will not go against another therefore, you do not have a case! How many citizens have been hurt with no protection? Our system suppose to protect citizens not doctors! Where is the Justice in our system? I was injured by a physician who took away my right to bare children by giving me a partial hysterectomy at age 21 without my knowledge.Medical records stated simple tubel ligation. Thirteen years later I had them reversed to find out I can not bare children! Justice?
