To increase the allowable tax deduction for student loan interest from $2900 to at least 10% of your income preferably up to interest on $1 million dollars as you can on a mortgage. For those students who worked hard and paid for their education through loans and have to pay more then 10% of their income related to these loans (In early years all 10% pretty much goes to interest). While you get a decent paying job you are saddled with debt which is not truly reflected in your income. The interest that is deductible should at least fall in line with what you are able to write off in housing.
