The government needs to increase taxes to raise money and to do something about the mass shootings. Why not increase the taxes on guns and ammunition. Guns are not a necessary item and if somebody wants to buy them they should be expensive. High cost might deter an unstable teenager or mentally ill person to purchase several guns. Also in order to purchase guns one should need two recommendations from two people that one is responsible to own guns. People need recommendations to get into college or get a job. Why not to buy guns?
