We the people ask the federal government to Tell us what the federal government is doing about an issue:

Increase trail funding for recreation, transportation, the environment, safety and health.

Created by K.P. on January 04, 2017

Trails are by far the most cost-efficient and useful allocation of transportation and recreation funding. Yet they receive a very small percentage of government funds. Trails provide transportation, recreation, exercise and safety in an environmentally- friendly manner. Equally important, trails are beneficial to literally every single citizen in this country. It doesn't matter what your age, gender or income, you stand to benefit from the construction, connection and maintenance of our nation's system of trails. This is particularly true of multipurpose trails that allow usage by walkers, bicyclists, equestrians and other non-motorized modes of transportation and recreation. We ask the government to explain their policy on trail funding and how they plan to increase such funding.
