The ability of the NSA and other government organizations to discretely and covertly obtain information about American Citizens without oversight of any kind is contradictory to the freedom that America stands for.
While we understand the need to sacrifice some liberties and freedom's for security, the applications of these sacrifices needs to be done properly and carefully as to not create a situation where too much power is given and corruption can set in.
It is with this understanding, that if the government needs this information and the ways in which they collect it need to be protected. There needs to be some sort of checks and balances put in place to regulate, monitor and enforce the actions of these organizations to protect the freedoms and liberties of American citizens.
