Increase in the unemployment grace period for the H1b visa

Created by S.R. on April 22, 2016

The current regulations doesn't provide any grace period for the unemployment of the H1b employees. This is problematic when the employee gets laid off by the employer without any prior notice. Because of the above regulation
1)some employers use H1b workers as a cheap labor(with the minimum allowed state wages) , make them work extra hours and threaten them to send back to their home country .
2) Most of the talent has to leave the country given the amount of the opportunities that we have here.

By giving a grace period of 4-6 months, it helps
1)H1b employee to not live in fear.
2) Decrease the fraud that is happening in the H1b.

We are always thankful to this country for the amount of opportunities that it has given us. Minor changes to the regulations would help us a lot.
