Under Federal Law a VETERAN is any person, who served honorably on active duty in the armed forces of the United States. Many of these Veterans find that after leaving their respective branches of the military and transitioning into civilian life, that higher education is where they need to be to get to where they want to go in their next career move. While college rates have soared uncontrollably over recent years, VA benefits have not risen to comparative levels. If these are truly cost of living allowances that accompany the tuition rates, then let's increase these rates.. Otherwise, we are forcing our members who have served and sacrificed so much already to carry the burden of working longer employment work weeks and do well academically as students.
