I think there should be the institution of a Federal Concealed Pistol License. There should be a set of qualifications that need to be met. This should be determined by the Department of Defense. The one item that without question that should be included is a Psychological Evaluation.
This permit should be issued to all Active Duty Military, Honorably Discharged Veterans and Retired Law Enforcement.
These personnel have substantial training in weapons safety and use. These individuals have sworn to protect and serve and to defend this country from enemies both foreign and domestic.
Allowing these personnel to carry in public in all states will increase the ability for early intervention if a shooting occurs.
Limiting rounds in a magazine doesnt stop someone form carrying more mags.
