Once 911 hit us on our homeland we started our homeland security policy. Immigration isn't always a bad thing but some people who are immigrating into our land aren't the most ethical people. Some are coming here to hurt us and flee. We need increased border control to let the good people in and the bad people not let in. We have many ways of transport into this country and we need to make sure that they are secure and no people with bad intentions get in.
