Smoking causes serious harm to innocent victims. Whenever somebody smokes in public, people inhale the toxins from the smoke. Simply breathing this smoke can cause cancer in those who do not even smoke themselves, potentially being lethal. Children are harmed often by these diseases, sometimes resulting in death. We need higher restrictions over where public smoking is allowed, maybe even banning public smoking entirely to protect others. Secondhand smoke has caused nearly 53,000 deaths per year recently, with the victims not partaking in the actual smoking. The government needs to ban this murderous practice before it takes more unsuspecting victims with its relentless poison. These deaths could be easily avoided. For our nation, we need public smoking to be limited, protecting all.
