Increasing student loan forgiveness to teachers. Education is on the rise. Need to raise the limit past $17,500.

Created by C.W. on October 26, 2011

I'm just a parent trying to put a adult child through school. The current limit for student loan forgiveness to become a teacher is $17,500. With the rising costs of education and the fact that teachers should have at least a BA degee, $17,500 is not enough. It will cost the average student around $80,000 or more to get the BA degree. And then they have to find a teaching job. Congress needs to put money back into education and intise more students in becoming teachers. Forgiving their loans would help.
