Though the government can try to make jobs in the major American cities, that will only add up to increased population density. Population density that is already exacerbated by the moving of young people from heartland states to the big cities. These states are suffering from depopulation and therefore a loss of taxpayers.
I believe we should solve both problems with a single solution: begin the process of building more cities instead of stacking more smaller communities onto already-massive metropolitan areas. This will protect cities like Los Angeles and New York City from further overpopulation and give the American heartland a chance to grow.
