Index rank and file congressional salaries to the federal minimum wage.

Created by P.K. on December 27, 2012

Cap rank and file Congressional salaries at their current rate of 12 times the federal minimum wage and require all future increases in congressional salaries to be matched by a proportional increase in the federal minimum wage. Furthermore, no elected official in federal government may earn more that 15 times the federal minimum wage in return for their holding of office. Any positions already in excess of this will have until 2018 to come into compliance either by a reduction of their salary or an increase in the federal minimum wage.
