Indict Stephanie Soechtig and Katie Couric on federal firearms crimes.

Created by J.H. on June 08, 2016

In their documentary, "Under the Gun", executive producer Stephanie Soechtig directs one of her employees to purchase 4 firearms without a federal background check, then drive them to Colorado. She then states on camera that this is "perfectly legal". According to the BATFE website, to transport a firearm purchased in another state, the purchaser must first have a background check conducted via an FFL. Stephanie Soechtig states that this was never done in the purchase of the firearms in the documentary. Not only is this illegal, but she misleads anyone viewing the film into believing that to do so is "perfectly legal, when in fact, it is a felony to do so. While trying to find salacious and ire-rousing facts about firearms law, they have broken them.
