In the very recent past the government has been forced to shutdown due to budgetary issues related to partisan bickering, squandering, and aloof immaturity. If the current legislative branch has failed to effectively appropriate the resources of the constituency that they represent they have failed at their duties and proper recourse must be taken. A change to law must be made which requires that in the event of such a legislative budgetary stalemate (i.e. government shutdown) new elections for the legislative branch of the national government be held.
Despite the fact that the executive branch lacks the authority to introduce a bill within congress it still possesses the ability to draft a bill and request that a representative within congress present it for a vote.
