The weight of student debt is a rampant problem in America that affects families of all backgrounds and prevents young people from investing in the economy and their futures. We need to make solving this issue a national priority. Solutions to expedite repayment of student debt will increase revenue to the government in the long term and incentive students to pay back loans sooner.
We propose that the government should enable workers to allocate pre-tax dollars from each paycheck (including one's bonus) to pay off student debt.
