Since the release of the iPhone 5 and the new lightning cord, so many users have had issues with the quality and durability of the cord. Most Apple users will go through about 5-6 lightning cable throughout the life of the phone while in their possession. While the bidirectional plug is beneficial, its leads to the development of electrical shorts in the cords. In addition, the design of the cord does not properly dissipate heat which leads to bunching and tears.
We want Apple to resign the power cables to allow for more durable long-lasting and quality. Consumers should not have to bear the undue cost replacing these cords when they no longer work.
