Inform petitioners desiring secession that they have the right to renounce their citizenship.

Created by J.W. on January 20, 2013

As secession should not be considered as a viable alternative to free and open discussion of issues related to our blessed Union, we ask that those citizens who have signed petitions for secession be emailed or mailed a document informing them of their right to renounce citizenship.

8 USC § 1481 - Loss of nationality by native-born or naturalized citizen; voluntary action; burden of proof; presumptions

Also inform those petitioners that they should travel to a foreign state and perform this renunciation at an Embassy or Consular's as to ensure the voluntary surrender of their American passport and their denial of entry to our blessed Union of the United States of America.
