Inform the whole nation what is and isn't an "assault weapon" before ANY gun reform.

The American people need to know what actually counts as an "assault weapon" before the goverment wastes any time on any new reform or ban. The huge majority of debate since the shooting are caused by the masses being ill informed on the subject. That includes most of the government. The whole ban issue is based off scare tactics, coined terms, and A LOT of misinformation. The American people are OWED THE RIGHT to know truths behind all firearms in question BEFORE they allow the government to take ANY action in regards to the second amendment.
