In response to the willful obstruction by the “no new taxes crowd”
I propose that President Obama immediately direct the U. S. Treasury Dept. to issue for sale to the public a series of tax free infrastructure bonds. The proceeds of bond sales would be used only to rebuild and modernize our nations infrastructure. The maturing five, ten and twenty year bonds would be repaid from the highway trust fund (once the obstruction is squashed by the public support for the bonds).
