initiate an amendment to the United States Constitution installing Term Limits.

Created by M.C. on May 25, 2013

Initiate Amendment to the US Constitution installing term limits on elected Federal offices. Grandfather those currently serving. Terms would be: President one 6 year term. Senator two 5 year terms, Congressman limited to two 3 year terms. This Amendment would’nt prohibit previously elected from running for a different office. Goal - to limit the time our elected officials work at immediately running for reelection; this would allow for the time to do the work that they were elected to do. It draws into the election process new citizens along with a fresh look. Finally it would significantly reduce the power of the special actions committees that use huge sums of money to sway Federal elections as well as items that carry special significance to the special action committees.
