"The Congress, ...on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments..."
-Article V, Constitution of the United States of America
We the people, hereby ask for a Convention for Proposing Amendments, as allowed by Article V of the Constitution of the United States of America. Specifically, we ask that President Barack Obama publicly initiate the call for such a convention, and in doing so urge state legislators to ask if their constituents wish for such a convention.
The 'bully pulpit' is a powerful tool of executive persuasion, and we ask that the President use it on behalf of the American people for this purpose.
