Limiting terms of service in congress brings fresh voices and experience into the leadership of this country. By enforcing a more consistent change in Congress eliminates the effect of long term relationships between big business and congressional members in key legislative positions. Limits encourage the ability of the people to affect the course of leadership in the country
Limiting Congress to 2 6-year consecutive terms gives adequate time for congressional leaders to have effective roles, while limiting the immediate scope of their influence. Limiting members to 18 years total for life, limits their individual influence on long term policy.
We respectfully request that congressional term limits again be requested and initiated by the Obama administration.
