initiate criminal charges against wind energy companies for the deaths of at least 67 golden and bald eagles since 2008.

According to the Associated Press, wind farms have killed 85 eagles since 1997, with most of those fatalities have occurred in the last 5 years. These majestic and endangered birds are clearly protected by Federal Law, including the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act [1940, amended 1962 to include the Golden Eagle]. Wind turbines are known hazards to flying birds, and should be disabled until their safety to airborne fowl can be assured. We call on President Obama as the Chief Executive of the Laws of the Land to perform his Constitutionally-bound duty under oath to execute the prosecution of those who disregard this Act and willfully continue the indiscriminate slaughter of these majestic creatures. Please, Mr. Obama, obey your oath of office and protect these magnificent animals.
