This would be a law against deceitful propaganda, which is an underlying cause of the disunity in America. People believe the lies they hear and see in the media. They do not do enough fact checking. We need a law that makes it illegal to broadcast or print lies and misinformation. Anyone can have an opinion, such as being against Climate change or against the Health Care Law. But they should NOT be able to publish nor broadcast false claims of scientific validity to back up their opinion. The act of deliberately falsifying scientific evidence, or expert testimony, or passing off unqualified persons as "experts" to deliberately deceive the American people is NOT an exercise in Freedom of Speech. An independent Review Board would assess commentary script before it is broadcast or published.
