Establishing term limitations will ensure new blood and ideas are inserted into the congress. This will eliminate "professional" politicians that do not represent the interests of their constituents. Additionally, this will encourage reaching a concensus on contentious legislative items as they're not seeking to first protect their life long political careers versus pursuing the best interest of the country.
