initiate a mandatory 30-Day retention policy on all staple related commodities traded on Wall Street.

Created by M.B. on November 01, 2011

Remove Wall Street’s grip on the American public when it comes to the very basic commodities we all use every day such as fuel, electricity, water and food. Currently these commodities are traded with the aid of super computers capable of making billions of trades in a nanosecond. Speculators are more often to blame for the spikes in prices of these commodities and not necessarily say, the oil companies for instance. If something happens in the Middle East, oil prices jump. This is the doing of Wall Street. Please imagine what would happen if investors had to wait thirty days before selling newly acquired oil stocks. I believe it would not only smooth out the peaks and valleys of a barrel of oil but it would also protect consumers from the wrath of day trader greed.
