Initiate the neccessary and past-due steps for legislation to ban knife lengths and the number of knifes in sets

Due to the recent events in the State of Texas, this Petition is to request that the Administration announce and pursue a new policy agenda requiring universal background checks for the purchase/sale of knives; limit a knife's length to less than 6"; ban knives with black handles or blades; and to limit the number of knives sold in a culinary set to a maximum of 10. Just as "assault weapons" are weapons of "warfare" and should be available only to law enforcement and the military, black handled knives, knives longer than 6", and knife sets of larger than 10 should only be made available to butchers and chefs who, of course, register and pay for a government license. This legislation should be modeled upon the same principles and logic as the Administration's current gun policy position.
