Today was the last straw -- yet one more "news blip" touting the "flat tax" proposals that are SO incredibly backwards--hurts me to turn my head that far.
I understand, that due to our lacks in educational matters, a person born in poverty now within the United States--has a MUCH greater chance to STAY in poverty. And I imagine some are thinking they might-as-well cash in their chips--go wholehog to cement what classes we have into states of oppression.
However, might I suggest instead -- that we move to make higher education more accessible for ALL; that proposals for a "flat tax" be met with swift and unequivocal argument upon the injustice within such considerations; and that we do NOT turn toward past and discarded action, but rather push forward in pursuit of civilized happiness.
