The 2nd Amendment is no longer necessary for a country that has a standing army. As recent events have shown, it is also no longer be considered safe for the country to allow individuals to amass large arsenals of weapons. Since the 2nd Amendment has been interpreted to guarantee the right to bear arms to individuals, we propose repealing it.
