Our intention is to change the conversation about "banning" certain types of firearms, more specifically variations based on the AR-15 platform, firing a .223 round, to Taxing them, along with individual components, accessories, tools( for either maintenance, repair or modification).
An individual would be allowed to possess such weapons, components, accessories and tools but would have to declare them on their Federal/State income tax forms, whether they expect a refund or not.
The taxes levied could be construed to be an "Environmental Impact Fee" which could fund a variety of programs designed to make the general public more secure and at ease.
An outright Ban on these weapons only makes them scarcer in the marketplace, driving up their prices. Tax them and lessen the demand overtim
