We, as consumers, know that Ticketmaster has been gouging us for years. Sadly, previous attempts to get the Department of Justice to correct this have failed. And, not surprisingly, Ticketmaster has gotten worse and worse. As of 1/20/13, a $25 concert ticket costs $38.30 - that's $13.30 in fees for them to merely process a single payment online and send a digital list to the venue - no shipping, no printing, nothing. A >50% markup, and we have no other option to see the show. Even purchasing a ticket at the box office carries these charges - why?
We, the People, request that the DoJ do ANYTHING to stop this clear case of gouging consumers.
