Current law does not limit campaign periods. The result is that elected officials spend more time campaigning than doing the peoples work. Limiting campaigns to 90 days for congressional and 120 days for presidential would allow our representatives to actually do some productive work for the people. It would also save billions of dollars that could be put to better use, such as creating jobs, ending poverty, providing health care to all.
