Regardless of the legal status of marijuana, industrial hemp should be legal to grow in America. The levels of THC in industrial hemp are nominal, and insufficient to qualify it as casualty of the "War on drugs". The only reason to keep hemp illegal is because many vested interests are unwilling to modernize their raw material base, which should NOT be the American citizenry's liability. Industrial hemp can be used as a safer, cleaner, and environmentally friendlier source material for nearly ALL products currently rendered from petroleum, corn, and timber.
