Install floating WATER DESALINIZATION PLATFORMS along the California Coast to produce drinking water from salt water powered by solar , wind , and wave power . These platforms can produce drinking water , electricity , hydrogen , anhydrous ammonia fertilizer , and even jet fuel as the Navy has done , from Sea Water . Once fully tested , debugged , and deployed they could be exported to countries around the world to provide drinking water and energy wherever needed .
