There are a lot of debates on both sides of the political spectrum on how to properly provide safety to our children in schools. This topic has only increased since the Newtown, CT shooting.
The problem is we can't seem to agree on how to properly care for our children. The Reps want armed security, police or armed teachers to provide safety for our children. The Dems want to ultimately do away with the second amendment to protect children.
I reject both of these ideas. Both our second amendment and our children's innocence are important things to cherish. If we built panic rooms in each classroom, front office, cafeteria, and gymnasium. Teachers who are properly trained can get our children to safety. This isn't any different than what Sandy Hook's Victoria Soto did for her kids
