As the Constitution calls for government of the people by the people and for the people, we propose a strict one term limit of 6 years with 1/3 of each legislative body, House and Senate, elected every 2 years.
This will enable legislators enough time to learn the system as well as try to enact legislation of interest to themselves and their constituents. Hopefully it will instill a sense of urgency and encourage a wider representation in our government.
