To instate an immediate death penalty for those convicted of murdering civil servants

Created by J.O. on September 01, 2015

Too many of our local, state, and federal officers have been brutally slain while carrying out their duties faithfully. An officer who executes his or her duty in accordance with local, state, and federal law should not have to fear being murdered at random. Any person convicted of murdering an officer of the law, or any civil servant while legally performing their duties should be sentenced to death within 72 hours of conviction. If the defendant initiates an appeal, then it must be initiated within said 72 hours, and the process should not take more than 7 business days. Do not make the tax payers pay for a long term sentence with or even without opportunity for parol for someone found guilty of a crime of this caliber. We need to protect those who serve us faithfully.
