English language speakers across the country have come to realize a desperate need for a universal marker to symbolize when sarcasm is being conveyed through any form of social networking/digital media. Today, we believe that we have finally found the perfect icon for that job: the "poop with a face" emoji. For the past few years, emojis have been used to convey what words cannot adequately say. What better medium, then, for us to look to for a new form of punctuation? All we want is to be able to place the "poop with a face" emoji at the end of a text or a Facebook post and sleep soundly knowing that our friends and loved ones will not mistake our sarcastic, "No one cares," for a mean-spirited, "No one cares." Please, Mr. President, cease these awkward miscommunications, once and for all.
