If you vote democrat or independent in a republican state your vote may as well not count under the winner-takes-all system, but under a proportional system the representation is based on percentage of votes. Many other countries use it to great effect and the founding fathers also wanted fair representation.
I am sure there are many people who do not vote just because their voice would not be heard. If you are one of those people this petition is for you.
