There have been numerous issues regarding firearms recently including the shooting at Newtown. Many of the gunmen in situations like this have suffered from mental illness. In order to stop people who are mentally unstable from acquiring firearms that they might aim to harm people with, there should be mental health checks and tests for all people that wish to purchase a firearm.
