We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Instate the same Rules of Engagement our military uses overseas for Law Enforcement here in the United States.

Created by L.R. on July 08, 2016

It has become clear that police officers are using excessive force in detaining individuals. Over the past couple of days, we have seen to separate instances in which there was no hostile intent shown, yet police officers drew their weapons and took the lives of two individuals on two separate occasions.
It is time for the law enforcement community of this nation to adhere to the same Rules of Engagement that our military has to abide by overseas. Without hostile intent, without a weapon pointing in the officer(s)'s direction, there should be no lethal use used by the officer. If military personnel serving in a hostile combat zone have to abide by these rules, should not our Law Enforcement officers in our own country?
