Instead of making guns illegal, why don’t we make the identity of a mass murderer illegal for the news media to expose?

Created by C.B. on April 03, 2013

I fully believe that people who commit mass murders do so for the national recognition and the knowledge that they will go down in infamy. The national media emphatically deluges us all with the perpetrator’s details and his plight. This is what he wants. This exposure is what he gets in exchange for sacrificing himself and others. So instead of making guns more illegal, why don’t we make the identity of the perpetrator illegal for the news media to expose? Take away the carrot, per se. Just a thought… Oh, and does this infringe on the second amendment? In a way, but nobody complained about not knowing who of the Seal Team 6 shot Bin Laden or some US spys’ identities.
