Institute an Assault Tools Ban

Created by R.N. on January 04, 2013

Institute an Assault Tools Ban to stem the epidemic of bludgeoning murders, a total that annually exceeds that of murders by rifle. The Constitution does not guarantee the right to keep and bear tools, or blunt objects of any kind; it is a privilege, not a right.

Hammers, clubs and other tools were used to commit 496 murders in 2011 (323 murders were committed with rifles) and 540 murders in 2010 (358 with rifles).

We insist upon a ban of the sale, transfer, importation, or manufacturing of assault tools, and a ban on use of electricity that gives tools high-capacity capabilities.

This ban shall protect legitimate craftsmen and existing tool owners by grandfathering tools legally possessed on the date of enactment. Grandfathered tools shall be serialized and registered with the ATF.
