The guillotine, invented in the 18th Century, has proven to be a painless method of capital punishment compared to others such as lethal injection, electrocution, hanging, firing squad, etc. As such, it should be a legal method for convicts sentenced to the death penalty who have a fear of pain to receive their punishment in a humane manner.
