Based on the Twenty-Second amendment to the Constitution, we the people believe congressional and senatorial term limits should be imposed. The creators of our nation viewed holding a seat in Congress and the Senate as a service to the Country and a civil duty, not as a career.
We believe that
"No person shall be elected to the House of Representatives or the Senate more than twice, and no person who has held a seat in the House of Representatives or the Senate, or acted as a member of the House of Representatives or the Senate, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected as a Member of the House of Representatives or the Senate shall be elected to the House of Representatives or the Senate more than once.
