Institute congressional term limits. Congress gets nowhere because they only care about hanging around. Get them out.

This petition is an effort to help make congress effective. I fear that because they have no recourse (outside of ineffective voting) that they don't truly work for the people. Their concern is to have longevity - pork exists because they want to put money in their own pockets not to help their constituents. I think that if we had term limits in both houses of congress, that we would then attract people who KNOW they only have a certain amount of time to actually make a difference
